Who We Are
A Note From Our Founders
We established The Gray Foundation to catalyze change for two groups that are very meaningful to us: families affected by BRCA mutations and low-income NYC youth.

BRCA research became a priority when Mindy’s sister, Faith Basser, died at age 44 from BRCA-related ovarian cancer. We are committed to improving options and outcomes for those affected by BRCA mutations to spare families from similar heartbreaking loss.

Our commitment to empowering New York City youth is rooted in our awareness of the stark contrast in access to opportunity for NYC youth. We are extraordinarily grateful that we’ve been able to provide our children with full access to the best that NYC has to offer, and we are motivated to extend these opportunities to children in NYC who do not have the same advantages.

Through the Gray Foundation we aim to enable solutions that transform lives. From identifying promising initiatives, to supporting exceptional leaders, we leverage our resources and foster strong partnerships in order to achieve significant and lasting impact for the communities we serve.
